About Canyon Duet™ Coral Bells

‘Canyon Duet’ is a compact coral bells selection from the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden’s Quartet Series, bred for a low mound and strongly bicolored flowers. Dark pink buds open to white or pale pink, and the airy stems rise above small green leaves in spring and early summer. ## Garden Use Place it along the front of a border, beside a path, in a rock garden, or in a small container where the flowers can be seen up close. California Flora Nursery reports a 6–18-inch flowering height and a 6–12-inch spread; Native Sons gives a similarly compact form. The [California Flora profile](https://www.calfloranursery.com/plants/heuchera-canyon-duet/) recommends light shade in hot inland gardens and describes spring and early-summer bloom. The [patent record](https://patents.justia.com/patent/PP13280) documents the cultivar’s compact habit and pink-and-white flowers. ## Growing Conditions Give it part shade and well-drained soil with regular to moderate moisture. Good light supports flowering, but hot afternoon sun can stress plants in inland climates. ## Maintenance Remove old or damaged foliage as new growth begins. Keep the crown at soil level and divide crowded clumps only when they need renewal.
