Heuchera 'Delta Dawn'

Heuchera ‘Delta Dawn’ is a compact coral bells selection grown for rounded foliage that shifts through the seasons. Red-centered leaves edged in chartreuse are especially vivid in spring and fall, while summer leaves show prominent red veins; airy flower stems rise above the foliage in early summer. ## Garden use At about 8 inches tall, with a 12-inch foliage spread and 14-inch flowering stems, it fits the front of a border, an edging, or a container. The evergreen mound keeps its color through the year in suitable climates. Terra Nova lists this cultivar for USDA zones 4–9 and part shade to full shade. [Terra Nova’s cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/heuchera-delta-dawn/) describes its seasonal color and size. ## Growing conditions Plant in well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Keep the root zone evenly moist while the plant establishes, then avoid waterlogged soil; allow the surface to dry slightly between waterings. ## Maintenance In early spring, remove damaged or tired leaves to make room for fresh growth. Leave healthy foliage in place through winter and keep the crown at or just above the soil surface.
