About Heuchera 'Grape Soda'

Grape Soda™ coral bells is a mounding Heuchera selected for rose-pink spring foliage that remains purplish and develops a burnished silver cast. Pink to purple flowers rise above the leaves, and the breeder lists flowering from spring into summer. ## Landscape Use Use it near the front of a border, in a container with reliable drainage, or in a small group where the changing foliage can be seen up close. The breeder records a 9-inch foliage height, a 20-inch spread, and flower stems around 18 inches. ## Growing Conditions Plant in sun to shade, adjusting exposure to local heat and moisture; partial shade is a useful starting point in hot climates. Heuchera do best in organic, moderately well-drained soil. Water during establishment and let excess water drain freely. Terra Nova lists zones 4–9 and notes that established plants prefer conditions on the drier side. Replant a crown if it rises above the soil after frost heaving. Leave healthy foliage through winter for seasonal color.
