About Green Spice™ Coral Bells

Green Spice™ coral bells is a named Heuchera cultivar with silver-green, rounded leaves edged in green and marked by burgundy veins. Pale pink flower panicles appear in late spring, while the foliage makes the longer-lasting display in a border or container. ## Landscape Use Plant it where the leaf pattern can be seen close up: along a path, at the front of a mixed border, or in a patio container. The cultivar tolerates full sun to partial shade, though afternoon shade can help protect foliage in hotter conditions. [RHS plant profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/132576/heuchera-green-spice/details) ## Growing Conditions Choose loam or sandy soil that remains moist but drains freely. Keep newly planted crowns watered while roots establish, then avoid waterlogged soil. Published mature-size ranges vary by source, so leave a flexible 12–24 inches around the mound and use local growing conditions to refine spacing. The RHS profile describes the foliage as evergreen and lists neutral soil. ## Maintenance In spring, remove damaged or weathered leaves and spent flower stems. Heuchera crowns can rise over time; reset an exposed crown so it sits at the soil surface. Divide an established clump when it becomes congested.
