Kirella™ ‘Fresh Green’ is a compact Heucherella with a rounded mound of vivid green leaves edged in darker green. Small white bell flowers can appear from early spring into fall, while the foliage may remain evergreen in mild winter regions. [Danziger’s Kirella series](https://www.danzigeronline.com/series_perennials/kirella-series/) identifies the series as Heucherella and describes its mounded habit and heat and drought tolerance; [the cultivar profile](https://www.perennials.com/plants/heucherella-hybrida-kirella-fresh-green.html) gives Fresh Green’s flowers, size, and hardiness.
## Garden Use
Use this low mound at the front of a shaded border, along an edge, or as a foliage accent in a patio pot. Its modest spread suits small groups as a low ground layer where foot traffic is not expected.
## Growing Conditions
It is listed for USDA zones 4–9 and grows in full sun, partial shade, or full shade. Provide ordinary garden soil that drains well and keep new plantings evenly moist. Kirella is bred for heat and drought tolerance, though young plants still need regular water while roots establish.
## Maintenance
Leave the foliage through fall. In spring, remove brown or tired leaves, and water during extended dry spells while plants establish.
