About Lemon Chiffon Coral Bells

Heuchera ‘Lemon Chiffon’ is a clump-forming coral bells with bright lime-green foliage edged in ruffles and small pale pink-white flowers above the leaves in summer. The cultivar suits part shade and fertile, well-drained soil; a nursery profile reports foliage about 12–16 inches tall and a spread near 24 inches. ([RHS](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/302429/heuchera-lemon-chiffon/details), [Monterey Bay Nursery](https://montereybaynsy.com/H.htm)) ## Seasonal interest New leaves begin yellow and mature toward chartreuse, keeping the planting bright through the growing season. Airy flower stems add a softer pink-white accent above the mound in summer. ## Growing conditions Provide light or partial shade and soil that holds moisture without staying wet. The RHS lists clay, loam, and sand, and recommends fertile, neutral or slightly acidic soil with good drainage. Its profile describes the foliage as semi-evergreen. ## Landscape use Use Lemon Chiffon at a border edge, in a patio container, or beneath roses and shrubs where its light foliage can brighten a shaded planting. It also combines well with darker-leaved heucheras. ## Maintenance Remove faded flower spikes after bloom. Mulch annually to retain moisture and help cover the woody rootstock, which can gradually lift; divide and replant every three to four years to maintain vigor.
