About Lemon Love Coral Bells

Heuchera ‘Lemon Love’ brings bright chartreuse foliage to part-shade plantings, with a compact mound of slightly ruffled leaves that can shift toward lime green in deeper shade. Cream flowers with blush-tinted calyxes rise above the leaves in early summer, adding a light accent without competing with the foliage. ## Garden use Use this vigorous coral bells selection along a shaded path, at the front of a mixed perennial bed, or in a container where its luminous leaves contrast with darker foliage. Allow about 28–32 inches of spread as the clump matures. It is a Heuchera villosa hybrid, and its breeder notes improved tolerance of heat and humidity compared with many other coral bells. ## Growing conditions Part or filtered shade gives the best chartreuse color and helps prevent leaf scorch; deeper shade can make the foliage greener. Plant in fertile soil that drains freely and water regularly while it establishes. The breeder lists USDA zones 4–9 and average water needs. ## Maintenance Remove weathered leaves in early spring and spent flower stems after bloom. Keep the crown at soil level and avoid winter-wet soil. [Walters Gardens: Heuchera ‘Lemon Love’](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=HEULE)
