About Heuchera 'Lemon Supreme'

Heuchera ‘Lemon Supreme’ forms a rounded mound of clean, rounded leaves that emerge yellow in spring and mature toward lime green in summer. Its white flower spikes rise above the foliage in summer, while the bright leaves bring a long season of color to shaded beds and containers. ## Garden use Place this selection near the front of a border, use it as a bright foliage accent among darker perennials, or grow it in a container with drainage. Terra Nova reports an 8-inch foliage height and an 18-inch spread, with taller flower stems reaching about 14 inches. The breeder developed it for better sun tolerance than many yellow-leaved coral bells, though shade still improves growth and protects foliage. ## Growing conditions Part shade to full shade suits it well; the breeder reports that it can also handle full sun in Oregon conditions. Provide moderately fertile, well-drained soil and average moisture, allowing the surface to dry somewhat once plants are established. The listed hardiness range is USDA zones 4–9. ## Maintenance Trim damaged or tired leaves in early spring and remove flower stems after they fade. Keep the crown uncovered and avoid soil that stays soggy, especially in winter. [Terra Nova Nurseries: Heuchera ‘Lemon Supreme’](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/heuchera-lemon-supreme/)
