About Marvelous Marble Coral Bells

Marvelous Marble is a clump-forming coral bells grown for leaves that shift from purple in cool weather to green with a silver-marble pattern as temperatures rise. Creamy white flower spikes appear from late spring into summer, depending on growing conditions. [Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/apac/product/flower/70006800) and the [RHS](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/505240/heuchera-americana-marvelous-marble/details) identify it as Heuchera americana ‘Marvelous Marble’. ## Landscape Use Use its changing foliage near paths, at the front of a border, in rock gardens, or in containers. Pair it with fine-textured grasses or darker leaves to make the marbled pattern stand out. ## Siting and Soil Plant in sun or partial shade in moderately moist, well-drained soil. Afternoon shade can limit scorch in hot locations. The [Polish Nurserymen Association](https://e-katalogroslin.pl/plants/8229,zurawka-amerykanska-marvelous-marble_heuchera-americana-marvelous-marble) describes a clump about 30 cm tall, with brownish spring foliage becoming more silvery in autumn. ## Maintenance Remove faded flower stems after bloom and trim damaged leaves in spring. Keep the crown at soil level and maintain drainage through winter. Divide crowded clumps when their centers thin.
