NORTHERN EXPOSURE™ Amber is a dense, mounding coral bells with rounded amber leaves and green-to-yellow flowers in late spring. Bred from hardy Heuchera richardsonii, it is noted for rust resistance and lasting foliage color. [TERRA NOVA® Nurseries](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/heuchera-northern-exposure-amber/) lists selection TNHEUNEA, U.S. patent PP29397, and EU grant EU51862.
## Landscape Use
Use its warm foliage in a mixed border, mass planting, or container. The breeder lists foliage about 14 inches high and 20 inches wide, with flower stems near 18 inches.
## Siting and Soil
Grow in sun, partial shade, or shade in organic, moderately moist soil with good drainage. Water during dry spells in full sun and avoid soggy winter soil. The breeder lists USDA zones 3–10, though local conditions affect performance.
## Maintenance
Remove spent flower stems and damaged leaves as needed. Trim tattered foliage in early spring, leaving healthy leaves through winter. Keep the crown at or just above the soil surface.
