About Rave On Coral Bells

Rave On coral bells make a compact mound of silvered green leaves with a showy flush of rose-pink flowers. Terra Nova lists the foliage mound at about 8 inches tall and 14 inches wide, with flower stems to 20 inches, and rates the selection for USDA Zones 4–9 ([Terra Nova](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/heuchera-rave-on/); [Chicago Botanic Garden](https://www.chicagobotanic.org/plant-information/plant-finder/heuchera-rave-rave-coral-bells)). ## Garden Use The pink flower wands rise above the low foliage, so Rave On works at a border front, in a container, or as a repeated groundcover planting. Its May-to-June display pairs flower interest with bright, silver-marked leaves. ## Growing Conditions Give it part shade or a cooler full-sun site with well-drained, organic soil. Keep moisture moderate while it establishes and avoid waterlogged ground. The compact mound can be spaced with nearby perennials or used as a small specimen. ## Seasonal Interest The heaviest flowering occurs in late spring and early summer. Evergreen foliage continues to provide texture outside bloom, with winter persistence varying by climate. ## Maintenance Remove spent flower stalks to encourage rebloom, and trim damaged foliage in early spring. Leave healthy leaves in place through winter where possible; keep the crown at or just above the soil surface.
