About Heucherella 'Mojito'

Heucherella ‘Mojito’ is a compact, mounding foamy bells hybrid grown mainly for its bright, changing foliage. New leaves emerge warm gold and mature to lime green with red veins; modest white flower spikes appear in early summer. The low mound suits a shaded border edge or a container. ## Foliage and flowers The leaves shift from golden spring growth to lime green by summer, with contrasting red veining. White flowers appear in June and July, though the flower spikes are relatively few and the foliage remains the main display. [Terra Nova Nurseries](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/heucherella-mojito/) ## Growing conditions Grow in partial shade to full shade. Use humus-rich soil that drains well, and provide moderate, even moisture; water during extended dry spells, especially in containers. Avoid persistently saturated soil. The plant becomes dormant in winter, with fresh golden growth returning in spring. ## Size A mature clump is about 7 inches tall and 15 inches wide, with flower stems rising to about 10 inches. Leave room for the mound to fill out without crowding nearby plants. ## Maintenance Water regularly while establishing and during hot, dry weather. After flowering, remove the spent stems and trim damaged leaves as needed. Clear old foliage from the crown after winter dormancy and resume regular watering as new growth appears.
