Heucherella 'Stoplight'

‘Stoplight’ is a compact Heucherella prized for leaves that shift from yellow with red centers in spring to lime green with red centers in warm weather. Airy white flowers appear in May and June above a foliage mound about 6 inches tall and 14 inches wide. ## Foliage and flowers The selection is listed for USDA hardiness zones 4–9 and part shade to full shade. Flower stems reach about 16 inches, distinct from the foliage height. The [Terra Nova Stoplight profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/heucherella-stoplight/) describes its seasonal leaf colors, white flowers, size, and growing conditions. ## Siting and soil Place the mound in part shade or full shade, as recommended for the selection. Humus-rich, well-drained soil and average garden moisture suit the plant; the breeder lists May–June flowering. ## Maintenance Water as needed to maintain average garden moisture without leaving the roots in wet soil. Remove damaged foliage when needed to keep the mound neat.
