About Heucherella 'Tapestry'

Heucherella 'Tapestry' is a compact mound for shade, valued for green leaves overlaid with silver and deep purple veining that add texture through the growing season. Airy pink flowers rise on slender stems above the foliage in early summer. The exact cultivar is profiled by [Terra Nova Nurseries](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/heucherella-tapestry/) and identified in its [USPP21150 patent record](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP21150P3/en). ## Site and planting Choose partial to full shade and humus-rich, well-drained soil that retains even moisture. The rounded foliage mound fits a shaded border, woodland planting, or container, where its patterned leaves can be seen at close range. Pair it with solid green or gold foliage to keep the silver and purple markings distinct. Avoid prolonged hot, dry exposure, which can scorch leaves. ## Seasonal interest The foliage supplies most of the display from spring into summer; flower stems add a lighter vertical accent above the low mound. In mild conditions, some leaves can persist into winter, while cold weather may cause dieback before new growth returns in spring. The layered leaf pattern works well as a foreground accent beneath taller perennials. ## Maintenance Water regularly while roots establish and during extended dry weather, keeping soil moist but not waterlogged. Apply a light mulch without covering the crown. Remove damaged leaves and spent flower stems; divide crowded clumps in spring if the center thins.
