About Hollywood Hibiscus Earth Angel Tropical Hibiscus

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis ‘Earth Angel’ is a named tropical hibiscus selection for warm, bright gardens and sheltered patios. It grows as a woody evergreen shrub in frost-free climates and can be kept in a movable container where winters are cold. ## Site and size Choose full sun or the brightest sheltered exposure available. The breeder lists this selection at about 48 inches tall and 60 inches wide, so plan for a shrub roughly 4 feet tall and 5 feet wide. In regions with frost, grow it in a container and bring it under cover before cold nights; tropical hibiscus is damaged by chilling. Berry Nursery](https://www.jberrynursery.com/portfolio/hollywood-hibiscus-earth-angel)) ## Water and feeding Use a fertile, free-draining potting mix. Water thoroughly when the surface begins to dry, then let excess drain instead of leaving roots in standing water. During warm, active growth, feed regularly with a complete fertilizer according to its label; reduce feeding as light and growth decline indoors. For an indoor plant, give it the brightest available light and avoid sudden cool drafts. ([J. After moving a container indoors, check leaves regularly for pests and give the plant time to adjust to lower light. Return it outdoors only after nights are reliably warm, hardening it gradually to full sun.
