Hollywood Hibiscus Trophy Wife Tropical Hibiscus

Hollywood Hibiscus Trophy Wife is a tropical hibiscus trade selection that the current seller lists as Talk of the Town™ and describes as formerly Trophy Wife™. It grows to about 4 feet tall by 5 feet wide and is listed for hardiness zone 9, with flowering from spring until first frost ([current seller product information](https://www.jberrynursery.com/portfolio/hollywood-hibiscus-trophy-wife)). ## Siting and season Use this selection in a sunny tropical-style border or container where its long flowering season can be enjoyed. The seller recommends full sun and keeping the soil moist while the plant establishes. In cooler climates, container growing offers a practical way to shelter it during cold weather; the source's zone 9 listing is the direct hardiness guidance for outdoor planting. ## Maintenance Prune as needed to maintain a balanced shape. The seller recommends a balanced, low-phosphorus fertilizer or a slow-release feed in early spring and mulch around the base through the year. Check container moisture more often during hot weather, since pots dry faster than garden soil.
