Beyond Glory is a named Hosta selection with broad, corrugated leaves in chartreuse-to-yellow centers and wide dark green margins. It forms a dense mound and produces lavender summer flowers, while its foliage makes the strongest garden statement. It grows in shade or part shade in moist, well-drained soil.
### Foliage, flowers, and placement
The large variegated leaves bring yellow and green color to a shaded bed, while lavender-purple flowers add seasonal bloom. This cultivar is suitable for borders, bedding, and understory plantings. The RHS profile gives a mature height and spread range of 0.5–1 metre (about 1.6–3.3 feet) and lists chalk, clay, loam, or sandy soil. The selection is rated for USDA Zones 3–9. ### Growing in shade
Plant in partial or full shade and keep the soil moist but well drained. Hosta leaves form a substantial clump over time, so leave enough room for the mature spread. The deciduous foliage dies back in winter and returns in spring.
## Maintenance
Water during prolonged dry weather to prevent stress and maintain soil moisture. Remove old foliage after it has died back, and keep the crown clear of soggy debris through winter.
