Blaze of Glory - Hosta

Hosta ‘Blaze of Glory’ is a large, clump-forming selection with bright lemon-gold foliage and lightly corrugated leaves. Near-white flowers appear in midsummer above its leafy mound. ## Plant profile The opened cultivar profile lists this selection for USDA zones 2–9 and gives mature foliage dimensions of 18–20 inches tall by 35–47 inches wide. The spread range crosses 36 inches, so its entire label is expressed in feet. The leaves are an especially bright gold in shaded plantings, while the flowers are near white. ## Garden care Grow in partial or full shade with average to moist soil. Hosta foliage benefits from steady moisture during dry periods, and a protected position helps prevent leaf scorch. This selection works as a broad border accent, woodland specimen, or container plant where its width has room to develop. ## Maintenance Allow the foliage to die back naturally in autumn, then remove it before spring growth resumes. Check young leaves for slug feeding and water during prolonged dry weather. [Perennials.com](https://www.perennials.com/plants/hosta-blaze-of-glory.html)
