About Fragrant Bouquet - Hosta

Hosta 'Fragrant Bouquet' forms a broad mound of apple-green leaves edged in creamy yellow to white. Its fragrant, near-white flowers rise above the foliage in summer, making it a useful choice near a path, patio, or shaded seating area. ## Foliage and flowers The cultivar is known for broad, variegated leaves and a sweet floral scent. Mature plants are commonly listed at about 20–22 inches tall and 47–48 inches wide; flower scapes rise taller than the leaf mound. A little morning sun can brighten the margins, while partial shade helps protect foliage from harsh afternoon exposure. ## Placement Give the clump room to spread and use it as a substantial foliage plant in a shaded border or woodland-style planting. Keep the soil evenly moist so the plant can build a full canopy, and provide good drainage around the crown. ## Maintenance Water during dry periods, especially while the clump is establishing. Remove tired foliage after it declines and clear debris around the crown at season's end.
