Hosta 'Little Sunspot' is a compact, rounded selection valued for bright yellow-centered leaves edged in green. Its small scale suits the front of a shade border, a path edge, or a container where the foliage can be viewed up close.
## Foliage and bloom
A sport of 'Little Aurora', it forms a mound about 6 inches tall and 12 inches wide. The leaves have yellow centers with green margins, and white summer flowers show pale lavender venation. Its small size and clear leaf pattern work well in groups or as a foreground accent. ## Site and care
Grow in part shade to full shade in USDA zones 3–8. Plant in moist, organic-rich, well-drained soil; morning light is generally easier on the foliage than strong afternoon sun. Water consistently during establishment and extended dry weather.
## Maintenance
Divide in spring or autumn if the clump becomes crowded. Remove worn foliage after frost and watch for slugs and snails, which can mark hosta leaves. A thin layer of compost or leaf mold helps maintain soil moisture without burying the crown.
