Game Changer®Deep Rose - Hydrangea

Game Changer® Deep Rose is a Hydrangea selection in the Green Fuse Game Changer® series. The producer’s culture guide describes spring and summer flowering in containers and landscape, including bloom in the first production year, and says flower initiation does not require chilling hours or daylength extension. Use that zone rating as series-level guidance; winter exposure and local growing conditions can affect survival and flowering. ## Growing conditions Green Fuse recommends keeping growing media evenly moist and avoiding fertilizer on a dry root ball. The culture sheet is written for nursery production, so its fertilizer concentrations and timing are not a home-garden schedule. For landscape planting, maintain steady moisture and use a soil test and local extension recommendations to guide feeding. ## Maintenance Check new growth and leaves for aphids, slugs, spider mites, thrips, whiteflies, scale, and signs of root or foliar disease. Green Fuse lists root rots, Botrytis, and powdery mildew as production concerns and recommends good air movement. Keep plants spaced for airflow, and water at the root zone rather than leaving foliage wet for long periods.
