Deciduous shrub well known for its ability to flower on old and new growth. Shades from blue to pink, with acidic soil yielding blue blooms and alkaline soil pinker blooms. Blooms will be pink in Utah without soil conditioning.
Big Leaf Hydrangea do best in moist, well drained, acidic soils and can require special care in Utah. Consider Panicle Hydrangeas as an easier to grow alternative.
