Lavalamp™ Candelabra® is Hydrangea paniculata 'Hpopr013'; the Canadian record gives the denomination 'HPOPR013' and trade name Candelabra, while Cornell uses the combined Lavalamp Candelabra name. This broad-upright shrub bears pointed, conical panicles; the patent describes flowers opening yellow-green and fading pink, gray-purple stems, and about eight weeks of bloom from June to August under trial conditions. ## Garden use
Use it as a flowering landscape shrub or in a large container. Cornell lists full sun through part shade or shade, consistently moist but well-drained soil with tolerance for occasional dry periods, and a broad soil-pH range. The patent describes this cultivar for landscape and potted-plant use. Garden conditions can affect growth and flowering, so keep the root zone evenly moist rather than relying on an exact calendar. ## Maintenance
Protect the shallow root zone with mulch and water during establishment or extended dry weather. Panicle hydrangeas flower on current-season growth; light late-winter or early-spring pruning can control shape while leaving new flowering shoots. Avoid severe pruning unless a smaller framework is intended. [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/hydrangea-paniculata/common-name/panicle-hydrangea/)
