About Hydrangea White Wedding®

White Wedding® is the panicle hydrangea selection ‘LeeP1’ (PP28973), with sturdy upright stems carrying large, pillow-like white flower clusters. At a listed mature size of 4–6 feet tall and 3–5 feet wide, it brings a compact summer display to a border, container, cut garden, or flowering hedge. ## Form & Seasonal Interest The substantial white panicles stay prominent above deciduous green foliage, and the strong stems help support them. Use the shrub as an accent, in a repeated mass, or where cut flowers are useful; its compact outline suits smaller garden spaces than many larger panicle hydrangeas. ## Growing Conditions Southern Living Plants recommends full sun and medium moisture. Panicle hydrangeas are among the hydrangeas most tolerant of sun; North Carolina State Extension advises morning sun, afternoon shade where useful, and well-drained soil. Water deeply when planting and while roots establish, then maintain even moisture through extended dry spells. ## Maintenance Routine pruning is not required for White Wedding. Deadheading can encourage further bloom, and a yearly early-spring fertilizer is listed by the breeder. If size control is needed, prune before new growth begins; panicle hydrangeas flower on the current season’s growth.
