TAHOE™ 'Snow White' Evergreen Candytuft

TAHOE™ Snow White is an evergreen candytuft with a compact, branched mound of dark green foliage and fragrant white flowers from spring into summer. Its low profile suits sunny or lightly shaded borders, edging, rock gardens, containers, and groundcover plantings. ## Selection and Habit This selection is indexed botanically as Iberis sempervirens ‘Tahoe’; Urban Tree Farm also lists it as ‘Tahoe Snow White.’ Swift Greenhouses identifies it as a Fleuroselect Award winner. Mature-size references cluster around 8–10 inches tall and 12–24 inches wide, while one nursery lists 6–10 inches tall by 12–18 inches wide. Red Butte Garden records white flowers from April through July; Monrovia lists USDA zones 3–9. ## Growing Conditions Grow in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. Water guidance varies by source: Red Butte reports average needs, Monrovia recommends regular watering, Swift lists dry-soil tolerance, and Urban Tree Farm describes moderate needs once established. Water routinely during establishment and adjust after roots are established; do not leave soil waterlogged. The foliage is evergreen. Published plant profiles also list butterfly attraction and deer and rabbit resistance. ## Maintenance Shear lightly after flowering to maintain a compact shape. Monrovia recommends spring feeding and periodic feeding during the first season; follow the fertilizer label.
