Sonic Pink New Guinea Impatiens

Sonic® Pink is a compact, mounding New Guinea impatiens with pink flowers and glossy green foliage. The named color variety suits shaded beds and containers, where it provides a rounded patch of seasonal color. ## Size and Siting Syngenta lists the Sonic® series for full shade, part shade, or part sun, with a compact-to-medium habit. Its cultivar listing gives garden dimensions of 10–14 inches tall and wide; a retail listing for Sonic® ‘Pink’ gives a broader 12–18 inch range. Set plants in filtered light or partial shade and keep the root zone evenly moist. New Guinea impatiens can also flower in brighter exposures when water is steady. ## Seasonal Color The series flowers from mid-spring into summer and produces large blooms. Pink is one of its listed color varieties. The compact mound works at the front of a shade border, in mass plantings, or as a container filler. ## Maintenance Water regularly so the soil does not dry out during warm weather. Remove damaged foliage and spent blooms as needed to maintain a neat display. This tender plant is generally grown as a warm-season annual outside tropical climates.
