Create design onlineAbout Super Sonic® Hot Pink Impatiens
Syngenta’s Super Sonic® Hot Pink is a vigorous New Guinea impatiens selection sold as product 70003748 and recorded under the denomination ‘Fisupnic Hotpink’. Its mounding form carries pink-rose flowers, with the breeder listing a garden height and width of 14–18 inches.
## Landscape use
The breeder recommends full shade, part shade, or part sun, with flowers from mid to late spring through summer. The 14–18-inch mound is designed for larger containers and premium mixed combinations, and it also brings strong color to shaded beds. Syngenta lists the crop as an annual, making it suitable for seasonal bedding where frost occurs.
## Growing conditions
For species-level culture, [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/impatiens-hawkeri/) says New Guinea impatiens perform best in partial shade and moist, well-drained soil supplemented with organic matter; sunnier exposure increases water needs. Syngenta describes this selection as performing well in shade under high heat and provides its exact size and color in the [Super Sonic® Hot Pink product profile](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70003748). The Canadian [cultivar record](https://active.inspection.gc.ca/english/plaveg/pbrpov/cropreport/im/app00004300e.shtml) pairs the denomination ‘Fisupnic Hotpink’ with the trade name Super Sonic Hot Pink 2004.
## Maintenance
Keep the root zone evenly moist but well drained, checking larger pots during hot weather. Remove weather-damaged growth and faded flowers as needed to keep displays tidy.
