Super Sonic® Red is Syngenta’s New Guinea impatiens selection, product 70003752, and is listed under the denomination ‘Fisupnic Tallred’ with trade name Super Sonic Red 2004 in Canada’s Plant Varieties Journal. Syngenta describes it as a vigorous, mounding annual with red flowers and a garden height and width of 14–18 inches.
## Garden use
Syngenta lists full shade, part shade, and part sun, with flowering from mid spring through late spring and summer. It recommends containers of 2.5 qt. or larger and premium mixed combinations, and notes strong shade performance under high heat. The current [product page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70003752) gives the exact selection code, color, form, dimensions, and bloom timing.
## Growing conditions
New Guinea impatiens are Impatiens hawkeri in Balsaminaceae. [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/impatiens-hawkeri/) describes the species as an annual with a mounding form that performs best in partial shade and moist, well-drained soil amended with organic matter. It tolerates a wider range of light, but sunnier sites need more water; these are species-level care notes rather than color-specific claims. Canada's [Plant Varieties Journal](https://publications.gc.ca/collections/collection_2010/inspection/A27-13-75-eng.pdf) lists ‘Fisupnic Tallred’ with trade name Super Sonic Red 2004, which distinguishes this coded Super Sonic selection from the separately named Sonic Red07.
## Maintenance
Keep the root zone moist but well drained and check containers regularly during warm weather. Increase watering if the plant receives more sun, following the species guidance.
