Solarscape® Orange Burst Interspecific Impatiens

Solarscape® Orange Burst is a seed-propagated interspecific impatiens with deep coral-orange flowers that shade to light salmon-orange. This mounded selection grows about 9–11 inches tall and 15–20 inches wide, with spring through late-summer bloom in partial sun or sun; the breeder lists it for garden beds and containers ([PanAmerican Seed product information](https://www.panamseed.com/products/119909505031661/interspecific-impatiens-solarscape-orange-burst/)). ## Placement Use the mounded form in a garden bed or container where its warm, two-tone flowers can be seen. Allow for a 15–20 inch spread; the breeder lists 12–14 inches of spacing. The product page lists both partial sun and sun. ## Seasonal display Flowers are listed in spring, late spring, summer, and late summer. Deep coral-orange petals shade to light salmon-orange, adding a bright warm accent during those seasons. ## Maintenance PanAmerican Seed describes the Solarscape series as durable and low maintenance. Use the published spacing and place it in partial sun or sun. The breeder also describes the series for garden beds and containers in full sun.
