Infinity® Blushing Lilac is a New Guinea impatiens selection, grown as a warm-season annual, with large lilac flowers marked by a pink-red blush and attractive dark green foliage. Proven Winners lists the selection as ‘Visinfblla’; its Infinity series guide gives an upright habit and a 10–14-inch height.
## Garden Use
Use it in containers, hanging baskets, and shaded landscape beds or borders. New Guinea impatiens bloom from spring through fall and can bring color to patios, paths, foundation plantings, and grouped displays. The Infinity series also flowers in winter in warm Sunbelt locations.
## Growing Conditions
Choose partial shade to shade; light shade supports best growth. The species grows in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter, and sunnier sites need more water. Proven Winners describes Infinity’s water needs as moderate to moist. The named flowers are lilac with dark pink-red blush markings, as documented for ‘Visinfblla’ in the Canadian comparison record.
## Identity
The official variety list gives the denomination ‘Visinfblla’ and U.S. plant patent USPP16147. The exact Infinity series is described as upright, while New Guinea impatiens as a broader species is often described as mounding. ## Maintenance
This selection is self-cleaning, so deadheading is unnecessary. The breeder does not recommend pinching; the series branches without it. Keep the soil evenly moist in warm weather and allow drainage, especially while roots are establishing.
