The current [Danziger availability list](https://www.danzigeronline.com/view-csv.php?file=IL) includes SOL LUNA™ PRIME Red among its New Guinea impatiens. Danziger’s [2024–26 North American catalog](https://www.danzigeronline.com/files/smart-view/annuals_24-26_na/) lists the Red selection under *Impatiens hybrida* and describes the PRIME series as mounded, 14–16 inches tall by 12–14 inches wide, and suitable from full sun to full shade.
## Landscape Use
Danziger’s [SOL LUNA PRIME series information](https://www.danzigeronline.com/blog/its-time-to-go-prime/) lists Red among six named colors and describes the hybrid series for quarts, gallons, and hanging baskets. The catalog also lists landscape and ground-cover use. New Guinea impatiens work in containers, borders, and mass plantings; the [North Carolina Extension Gardener Plant Toolbox](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/impatiens-hawkeri/) notes that the species attracts butterflies.
## Growing Conditions
Danziger describes the PRIME series as performing in sun and shade. For New Guinea impatiens generally, North Carolina State recommends partial shade and moist, well-drained soil with organic matter; plants receiving more sun need more water. [Iowa State Extension](https://yardandgarden.extension.iastate.edu/faq/what-are-cultural-requirements-new-guinea-impatiens) recommends morning sun with afternoon shade and cautions against dry or waterlogged soil.
## Maintenance
Keep the root zone consistently moist without leaving it waterlogged. Check baskets and other containers regularly, watering when the soil surface becomes dry; containers may need daily watering in hot, windy weather. Adjust exposure toward afternoon shade if foliage shows stress or flowering declines.
