[Syngenta Flowers lists Accent™ Rose Star](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70034240) as Impatiens walleriana, selection 70034240. The named selection has pink/rose bicolor flowers, a mounding habit, a listed height and width of 10–12 inches, and full shade to part shade exposure.
## Garden use
Syngenta describes Rose Star among the additional Accent™ varieties, which broaden the range with star-pattern colors and distinct solid hues; the page says these selections are slightly more vigorous than Accent™ Premium. It recommends container sizes from packs through larger pots and hanging baskets. North Carolina State Extension also lists I. walleriana for containers, hanging baskets, and mass plantings in shade.
## Growing conditions
The [NC State Plant Toolbox](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/impatiens-walleriana/) recommends part shade to full shade and moist, well-drained soil with organic material. Plants may wilt in hot, dry spells and need extra water, while overwatering can cause rot. The species is often grown as an annual outside tropical zones.
## Maintenance
Keep the soil evenly moist without leaving it waterlogged, and check containers often during hot, dry weather. If plants become leggy in late summer, NC State recommends trimming the top third to encourage new blooms and improve appearance. Allow room for the dense, mounding growth.
