Dazzler® Cranberry Impatiens

Dazzler® Cranberry is a named color in PanAmerican Seed’s Dazzler® impatiens series. The breeder’s [2016 catalog, page 66](https://www.panamseed.com/documents/catalogs/14520_PASKieft_2016Catalog-LowRes.pdf#page=66) lists the series at 9–11 inches high and 13–15 inches wide, with 1.5-inch blooms that flower freely until frost. It recommends Dazzler for pack, 4-inch-pot, and basket programs, and describes the series as uniform in flowering time with manageable vigor. ## Garden use Use the selection for seasonal color in baskets, small pots, and pack displays. The catalog describes the colors as flowering together, which can help make a coordinated group planting. ## Growing conditions For garden placement, choose partial to full shade and moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. [NC State Extension’s impatiens guide](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/impatiens-walleriana/) recommends extra water during hot or dry spells. [Kew’s taxonomic record](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn%3Alsid%3Aipni.org%3Anames%3A374419-1) accepts *Impatiens walleriana* in Balsaminaceae. ## Maintenance Water during hot or dry weather to keep the root zone moist, while allowing excess water to drain.
