Dazzler® Red Impatiens

Dazzler® Red is a red-flowered bedding impatiens in the Dazzler® series. The [2016 PanAmerican Seed catalog](https://www.panamseed.com/documents/catalogs/14520_PASKieft_2016Catalog-LowRes.pdf) lists the series at 9–11 inches tall and 13–15 inches wide and shows Red as a color. It says the series flowers freely until frost and is suited to packs, 4-inch pots, and basket programs. ## Garden use Use it for seasonal color in containers and bedding displays. The production uses and dimensions are historical series-level guidance from the 2016 catalog. ## Growing conditions At species level, [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/impatiens-walleriana/) recommends partial to full shade and moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter; it notes that plants may need extra water in hot or dry spells. [Kew’s taxonomic record](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn%3Alsid%3Aipni.org%3Anames%3A374419-1) accepts *Impatiens walleriana* in Balsaminaceae. ## Maintenance Keep soil evenly moist without leaving roots waterlogged. Check containers more often in warm, dry weather and water as needed, allowing excess water to drain.
