Dazzler® Salmon is a named selection in PanAmerican Seed's Dazzler® series of *Impatiens walleriana*. The [2016 catalog](https://www.panamseed.com/documents/catalogs/14520_PASKieft_2016Catalog-LowRes.pdf) lists the series at 9–11 inches tall and 13–15 inches wide, notes that the colors flower freely until frost, and lists packs, 4-inch pots, and baskets as production uses.
## Planting and Culture
North Carolina State Extension's [species profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/impatiens-walleriana/) describes *I. walleriana* as dense and mounding, commonly grown as an annual. It performs best in part shade to full shade and moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Plants in sunnier sites need adequate water, while overwatering can cause rot. The species is used in containers, hanging baskets, and shaded borders; the profile gives a hardiness range of zones 10–11 and a bloom season from late spring through early fall. The catalog separately lists Salmon, Salmon Splash, and Orange within the Dazzler® series; its 2016 listing is historical and does not establish current availability.
## Maintenance
Maintain moist, well-drained soil and add water during hot, dry periods; avoid waterlogging. If plants become leggy in late summer, Extension recommends trimming the top third to encourage new blooms and improve appearance. In frost-prone places, grow it as a seasonal annual or bring potted plants indoors before cold weather.
