Imara XDR Tango Mix Impatiens

Imara® XDR Tango Mix is an annual Impatiens walleriana color variety, identified by Syngenta as product 70098827. Its exact product page lists mounding growth, a 10–12-inch mature height and spread, late-spring and summer flowering, full or partial shade, and high resistance to impatiens downy mildew but not immunity ([Tango Mix product page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70098827)). ## Site and soil Use partial shade or filtered light and moist, well-drained soil. Iowa State says common garden impatiens perform best in partial shade; heavy shade can reduce flowering ([Iowa State garden guidance](https://yardandgarden.extension.iastate.edu/how-to/growing-impatiens-home-garden)). ## Watering Water landscape beds about weekly during dry weather. Check containers and hanging baskets frequently, watering when the surface is dry. ## Maintenance Treat XDR as resistance rather than immunity. If downy mildew symptoms appear, remove affected impatiens with roots, seal them in bags, and discard them rather than composting ([Wisconsin Extension sanitation guidance](https://hort.extension.wisc.edu/articles/impatiens-downy-mildew/)).
