Imara® XDR White is a seed-raised *Impatiens walleriana* selection for late-spring and summer color in shaded gardens. The [Syngenta Flowers product page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70102008) identifies White as product 70102008 and lists a mounding habit, 10–12 inches in height and width, and full- or part-shade exposure. The breeder reports a high degree of resistance to impatiens downy mildew (IDM), while stating that plants are not immune.
## Garden use
Use it in shade gardens for seasonal color. Syngenta lists packs, pots, landscapes, containers, and hanging baskets as product uses.
## Growing conditions
Choose full or part shade. At species level, [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/impatiens-walleriana/) recommends moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter and notes that plants may need extra water in hot or dry spells. [Kew’s taxonomic record](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn%3Alsid%3Aipni.org%3Anames%3A374419-1) accepts *Impatiens walleriana* in Balsaminaceae.
## Maintenance
Keep the soil evenly moist while allowing excess water to drain. Check containers during warm or dry weather and water as needed. Monitor for downy mildew; resistance does not guarantee immunity.
