Musica™ Electric Purple Impatiens walleriana

Musica® Electric Purple is a double-flowered Impatiens walleriana selection in Danziger's MUSICA™ series. The breeder describes compact, branched, mounded plants for semi-shade and lists a height range of 10–15 inches with a 15–20 inch spread. ## Selection and placement The Electric Purple product page describes medium double flowers and lists pots, hanging baskets, window boxes, and landscape use; pinching is not necessary. Danziger presents mature size as ranges for this selection, which gives a more useful planning context than a single fixed point. It grows in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter and may need extra water during hot, dry spells; the profile reports USDA hardiness zones 10–11. [NC State plant profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/impatiens-walleriana/) provides general species care. ## Maintenance Keep soil moist but well drained, and water more during hot, dry periods. If plants become leggy in late summer, trim back about one-third to encourage new blooms. Impatiens walleriana is tropical and does not tolerate cold; use it as an annual where winter temperatures fall below its hardiness range.
