About MUSICA™ Lavender

MUSICA™ Lavender is a named Impatiens walleriana selection in Danziger’s MUSICA™ series. Danziger lists the exact selection as double-flowered and early flowering, with a mounded habit, a 10–15-inch height, and a 15–20-inch spread. [Danziger’s selection page](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/musica-lavender/). ## Landscape use The series has branched, compact growth and does not require pinching. Danziger lists pots, hanging baskets, window boxes in semi-shaded areas, and landscape use, making the selection a fit for shaded containers and garden beds. ## Growing conditions Give it partial to full shade. Keep the soil moist, well-drained, and enriched with organic matter; NC State Extension notes that Impatiens walleriana can wilt in hot, dry spells and needs extra water, while overwatering may cause rot. The species profile also describes a slightly acidic soil preference. See the [NC State Extension profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/impatiens-walleriana/) for broader cultural guidance. ## Maintenance Water during hot, dry weather and maintain good drainage. If plants become leggy late in summer, NC State recommends trimming back the top third to encourage new blooms and improve appearance.
