Silhouette® Purple Impatiens

Silhouette® Purple is a mounding double-flowered Impatiens walleriana selected for shaded beds and containers. Syngenta lists this exact color variety at about 10–12 inches tall and wide, with purple, lavender, and violet flowers. [Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70003779) ## Landscape Use Use it in containers, edging, or front-of-bed groupings where its rounded habit can fill a small space. The breeder describes it for both in-ground planting and containers. ## Growing Conditions This annual performs in full shade, which helps protect it from harsh midday sun. Keep the planting evenly watered and use a moisture-retentive, free-draining mix in pots; avoid letting containers dry completely. ## Seasonal Interest The double flowers begin in spring and continue through summer, with flowering often lasting until frost where the season permits. Plant in groups for a fuller color display. ## Maintenance Remove damaged leaves and spent flowers as needed to keep the planting tidy. Replace plants after frost; the breeder lists the selection as an annual crop rather than a hardy landscape perennial.
