Silhouette® Rose Impatiens

Silhouette® Rose is the pink/rose selection in Syngenta Flowers’ Silhouette® impatiens series, identified as Impatiens walleriana product 70003766. It has a mounding habit and double blooms from spring to frost; the breeder lists full shade, 10–12 inches of height and spread, hardiness zone 11a, and use in containers and in-ground plantings ([Silhouette® Rose product page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70003766); [2024–2026 annuals catalog, page 34](https://online.flippingbook.com/view/636494595/36)). ## Growing Conditions Follow the cultivar’s full-shade listing. Iowa State Extension recommends moist, well-drained soil for Impatiens walleriana. Garden beds usually need watering during dry weather, while containers should be checked frequently and watered when the soil surface is dry ([Growing Impatiens in the Home Garden](https://yardandgarden.extension.iastate.edu/how-to/growing-impatiens-home-garden)). ## Garden Use The breeder lists shade containers and in-ground plantings. Mounding plants with double pink/rose flowers can brighten shaded patio pots or garden beds. Published garden height and width are both 10–12 inches. ## Maintenance Check containers regularly, especially during warm, dry stretches, and water when the soil surface dries. For beds, water during dry weather and keep the soil moist while maintaining good drainage.
