Xtreme™ Orange Impatiens

Xtreme™ Orange is a named Impatiens walleriana F1 selection from Syngenta, product 70007944. The exact profile lists an 8–10 inch mounded plant for full shade to part shade, with orange flowers and bloom from mid-spring through summer ([Xtreme™ Orange profile](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70007944)). ## Placement and bloom Use it in packs, pots, or landscape plantings where a compact annual is useful. Syngenta describes the Xtreme series as uniform and early flowering, with short internodes, branching, and a non-stretching habit; the catalog lists Xtreme™ Orange by name and product code ([2024–2026 annuals catalog, p. 153](https://online.flippingbook.com/view/636494595/155)). ## Growing conditions Choose full shade to part shade. Impatiens walleriana grows best in moist, well-drained soil amended with organic matter and slightly acidic; water more during hot, dry weather. NC State Extension describes the species as fast-growing and annual in temperate regions ([NC State species profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/impatiens-walleriana/)). ## Maintenance Keep the root area evenly moist, especially in heat and in containers. If stems become leggy, trim them to keep the plant tidy. Grow it as a warm-season annual where winter temperatures fall below its listed hardiness.
