About Bearded Iris 'Feedback'

Iris germanica 'Feedback' is a tall bearded iris with ruffled violet-blue flowers and a contrasting yellow beard. The cultivar is reported to rebloom and has a sweet fragrance, bringing a second possible flush of color to a sunny perennial border. ## Garden Use The upright flower stems rise above clumps of sword-shaped green leaves. Use the flowers as a focal point in a mixed border or cut them as they open; the foliage remains a strong vertical accent after bloom. ## Growing Conditions Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Set the rhizome at soil level or cover it only lightly, and avoid persistently wet soil or heavy mulch around the crown. These cultural needs are shared by bearded irises; cultivar details and its violet-blue flowers are listed by [NVK Nurseries](https://www.nvknurseries.com/plant/Iris-germanica-Feed-Back), while [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/iris-x-germanica/) explains rhizome placement and drainage. ## Maintenance Remove spent flower stalks after bloom. Divide crowded clumps in mid to late summer after flowering to restore space and flowering vigor, and clear old foliage from the bed at season’s end.
