About Bearded Iris 'That's All Folks'

Bearded iris 'That's All Folks' has brilliant-gold standards above white falls with a broad muted-gold band and gold beards. This tall bearded cultivar blooms in midseason and reaches about 40 inches (102 cm). ## Garden Use Place it in the middle of a perennial border or cutting garden, or beside a walkway or patio where its patterned flowers can be seen at close range. The [American Iris Society cultivar record](https://wiki.irises.org/TbPthruT/TbThatsAllFolks) documents the flower pattern, 40-inch height, and midseason bloom. ## Growing Conditions Give it full sun and rich, well-drained soil; it can tolerate some shade, but heavy clay is difficult for bearded iris. Keep the rhizomes at soil level or lightly covered, and avoid mulch and persistently wet soil, which can encourage root rot. The [NC State Extension bearded-iris guide](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/iris-x-germanica/) covers siting, soil, rhizome depth, and division. ## Maintenance Remove spent blooms after flowering and divide clumps in mid- to late summer as needed. Clear old foliage at season's end, remove affected roots and leaves if iris borers appear, and watch for fungal disease, crown rot, and mosaic virus.
