‘Blueberry Fair’ is a tetraploid Siberian iris selected by Robert Hollingworth and recorded by the American Iris Society in 1996. Its ruffled blue-violet falls carry a white signal, while the broad, multi-shaded style arms rise above upright blue-green foliage.
## Seasonal display and use
The American Iris Society records a mature height of 32 inches and a midseason bloom, with the flowers held clearly above the foliage. Use it in a perennial border or as a cut flower where the clump can remain evenly moist. The [RHS cultivar profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/318150/iris-blueberry-fair-sib/details) confirms the ‘Blueberry Fair’ selection within the Siberian iris group.
## Growing conditions
Full sun gives the best flowering, though the American Iris Society notes that the plant may still bloom with half-day shade. Grow in fertile, well-drained soil that stays moist, especially as spring flowering approaches. North Carolina Extension advises dividing Siberian iris clumps about every three years and notes that established plants tolerate some drought; in hot-winter areas, flowering can be reduced when the plant does not receive enough winter cold.
## Maintenance
Water consistently while newly planted. Divide crowded rhizomes after flowering, replant divisions shallowly, and keep them moist while they establish. Remove spent flower stems and dying leaves to keep the planting tidy.
