Kaleidoscope 'Razzle Dazzle' Hardy Ice Plant

Kaleidoscope™ ‘Razzle Dazzle’ is a low, spreading hardy ice plant selected for its two-tone flowers, with raspberry-red petals shifting to fuchsia-purple eyes around cream centers. Its rose-red to fuchsia-purple petals and pale centers make a colorful groundcover for sunny, dry sites. ## Flowering and placement Flowers open in late spring and early summer in bright sun, and the blooms attract bees. Use this compact groundcover along a sunny edging, in a rock garden, or where its trailing spread can soften a container rim. Late spring and early summer blooms follow a sunny, sharply drained position. ## Growing conditions Choose a hot, sunny site with gravelly, well-drained soil; a slope helps shed winter moisture. Provide moderate water while plants establish, then allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid excessive moisture, especially during winter, when wet soil can contribute to crown or root rot. ## Maintenance This heat- and drought-tolerant perennial needs little routine care once established and is described as deer resistant.
