Create design onlineAbout Kintzley's Ghost® Honeysuckle
Kintzley’s Ghost® is a vigorous woody honeysuckle vine with yellow June flowers framed by long-lasting, round silver-blue bracts. Plant Select identifies the selection as Lonicera reticulata ‘P015S’ and reports a mature height of 8–12 feet, width of 3–6 feet, and hardiness in zones 4–8. The bracts remain ornamental well beyond flowering, often into fall, and the flowers draw hummingbirds and other pollinators.
## Garden use
Train the vine over a sturdy trellis, arbor, or metal structure where its hanging branches and distinctive bracts have room to show. Full sun to part sun is suitable. Plant Select recommends loamy soil; Spring Meadow describes it as adaptable to most soils but advises avoiding excessively wet sites. The two sources describe the selection’s range differently, so use the local site and support to guide spacing.
## Maintenance
In spring, remove dead twigs and guide new growth into the support. Pruning is light; avoid cutting it back after bloom if you want to retain the decorative bracts around the flowers.
