About Kniphofia 'Pineapple Popsicle'

‘Pineapple Popsicle’ is a compact Kniphofia with grassy green foliage and reblooming cream-to-yellow flower spikes. Terra Nova lists foliage about 18in tall by 18in wide, flower stems to 26in, bloom from June through October, and USDA zones 6–9. [Terra Nova plant details](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/kniphofia-pineapple-popsicle/) ## Garden Use Use this clump-forming selection in a sunny border or among other perennials where its pale flowers can blend with warmer colors. The breeder describes it as a vigorous, repeat-flowering plant and lists full sun, average garden water, and cut-flower use. The cream and yellow spikes provide a softer color effect than the red-orange members of the Popsicle series, while the grassy foliage keeps the plant’s outline tidy. Its published dimensions distinguish the leafy mound from the taller flowering stems, so allow room for the bloom height when placing it beside shorter plants. Well-drained soil is important through winter. Cut off spent flower stalks and leave sound foliage until spring. Divide congested clumps or separate offsets as growth resumes.
