Create design onlineAbout Dream Catcher® Beauty Bush
Dream Catcher® is a beautybush chosen for golden foliage that stays colorful after its pink spring flowers fade. The bell-shaped blooms have yellow throats, new leaves carry bronze tips, and autumn foliage turns golden orange; Spring Meadow lists a mature height and spread of 6–9 feet and USDA zones 4–8 ([Spring Meadow Nursery](https://springmeadownursery.com/plantfinder/dream-catcher-52480)).
## Garden Use
Use this deciduous shrub as a specimen or informal hedge where its foliage can brighten a partly shaded planting. Its gold leaves are more sensitive to full sun than green-leaved beautybushes, making it useful beneath open tree canopies or in dry shade.
## Growing Conditions
Provide part sun and well-drained soil. Allow room for the arching branches to develop rather than placing it in a tight foundation space.
## Maintenance
Routine pruning is usually unnecessary. If shaping is needed, prune after flowering so spring blooms are not removed; the arching habit is most attractive when given space ([North Carolina Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/kolkwitzia-amabilis/)).
