Bellini® Shrub Myrtle™ Raspberry is a compact Lagerstroemia indica cultivar with dense growth, rose-colored flowers, and green foliage. Star® Roses and Plants lists mature dimensions of 3–4 ft tall and wide, zones 5–10, full sun, deer resistance, and powdery mildew resistance. UF/IFAS notes that crape myrtles tolerate drought once established; container-grown plants may need more frequent watering in hot weather. Remove dead or crossing stems in late winter or early spring and avoid topping or severe cuts, which distort the branching and can trigger unwanted shoots.
